BCI Training - Understanding BCM Principles and Good Practice

BCPA-812 BCI Training – Understanding BCM Principles and Good Practice

Overview
The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) Training – Understanding BCM Principles and Good Practices consists of five (5) full day training modules that is developed based on the BCI Good Practice Guidelines (GPG) 2008 and is closely related to BS25999.

Business Continuity Planning Asia Pte Ltd (BCP Asia) is proud to be the licensed training provider of the above mentioned training in Asia. This course is built in response to demand for a more definitive and consistent route to BCM education and certification.

This course will cover essential BCM knowledge you need to know as examined in the BCI Certification Examination. This examination is a requirement of entry into BCI certified or professional membership. This course is intended to explain both aspects: not only the “What to do”, but also the “How to do!”

Course Outline

Module I Policy, Programme Management and Culture
Module II Understanding the Organization
Module III Determining BCM Strategies
Module IV Developing and Implementing BCM Response
Module V Exercising, Maintenance and Review

The BCI Certification Examination
The BCI Certification Examination is a multiple-choice test consisting of 120 questions to be completed in two hours.

Passing the examination allows an individual to use the CBCI (Certified BCI) after their name. This however, is not representative of the professional status that is accorded to grades such as AMBCI, SBCI or MBCI, which recognize the two key elements of knowledge and experience. It is now necessary to pass the BCI Certification Examination for all new professional grade applicants or upgrades – that is in the Associate (AMBCI), Specialist (SBCI) and Member (MBCI) grades.

Who Should Attend
Participants in this course are not necessarily experienced in BCM. Those who wish to take the BCI Certification Examination, as well as those who need a good grounding in Business Continuity are ideally suited to attend this course.
