Henry Ee
is the founder and director of Business
Continuity Planning Asia Pte Ltd (BCP Asia
Pte Ltd). Backed by more than 10 years of
experience in this profession, Henry developed
a strong interest in BCM after attending
a conference in US back in the early 1990s.
Then the project manager at Singapore Telecommunications
Ltd, quitted his job to start his BCM career
in ABN AMRO bank where he rolled out the
bank’s BCM program in Singapore and
Asia Pacific. He continues his BCM career
in JP Morgan Chase as the Regional BCM manager
for North Asia.
During his career, Henry had successfully
activated the recovery plans for Y2k, 911,
SARS outbreak in Asia as well as strikes.
With the aim of bringing
BCM nearer to organizations in Asia, Henry
founded BCP Asia in 2000. Since then, he
has been actively flying between countries
to conduct workshops and seminars, giving
talks to companies in the area of BCM, Disaster
Recovery and Crisis management. To date,
he has coached more than 1000 professionals
in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, China,
Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Brunei.
Apart from training, Henry
is also actively assisting companies to
develop and implement their BCM programs.
His clients are from a variety of sectors
including financial, supply chain, logistics,
manufacturing, payment processing as well
as government sectors in several Asian countries.
Henry is the country representative
for Business Continuity Institute (BCI)
for both Singapore and China. He is also
a BCM certified professional by Disaster
Recovery Institute International (DRI, US)
and Business Continuity Institute (BCI,
UK). Currently, he is the appointed BCM
auditor of SPRING Singapore, the Asia Ambassador
for BCI and the appointed consultant for
CBCM, China.
He has held positions
as the Program Committee of the Professional
Information Security Association (PISA),
Hong Kong, the Vice President of Business
Continuity Group (BCG), a Technology Industry
Chapter of the Singapore Computer Society,
in 2000.
