To recap, last year¡¯s inaugural
Asia Business Continuity Awards (ABCA) was
held on 30 October 2007, Singapore, and
what a blast it was! Almost 200 delegates
from across the globe turned up for the
ceremony, which was held in conjunction
with the 7th Annual Business Continuity
Management Conference (BCMC) 2007. There
were also reporters and journalists from
various media channels, as well as exhibitors
and sponsors alike.
Organized by Business Continuity
Asia (BCP Asia) Pte Ltd, this award was
established with the aims to accolade individuals
and organizations who have achieved excellence
whilst contributing significantly to the
growth of the business continuity industry.
In this very aspect, BCP Asia hopes that
with this award recognition, the employability,
productivity and service quality of business
continuity professionals and industry players
can be improved.
The ABCA is endorsed by Business Continuity
Institute (BCI), an internationally recognised
institute that accredits professional membership
of BCI to its members who has demonstrated
competence to carry out Business Continuity
Management (BCM) to a consistent high standard.
The award is the ultimate
platform for participating nominees to engage
in the exchange of ideas while facilitating
growth and development in the industry.
It has proven to be an excellent opportunity
for individuals and providers in the business
continuity sector to gain exposure to new
ideas, share best practices and benchmark
against each other.
