Facilities management services encompass of property management, security, carpark services, hygiene services, engineering services and supporting technological equipment or services.
Unlike the other industries, this industry is a labour-intensive sector as the core business is to provide service. Although with the introduction of machines to ease off the manual work and other innovative ideas to reduce the reliance on manpower, as a service-oriented industry, manpower is still the main resource and some special skill set may be required.
BCP Asia's experience
Our experience in this industry started in 2006. Currently we have developed program for more than 20 organisations in Singapore.
While companies are concerns about denial of access to their offices, facility management companies are concerned about preventive measures to implement such that situation like that would not happen. With many services under their belt, what should be the priority in response if incidents happened? For companies dealing with hygiene services, what is the plan if services is required to clean an infected building during the height of pandemic outbreak?
